Benin-Ore expressway claims MC Loph

Nigeria’s entertainment industry has again been hit by yet another tragic loss as Obiajulu Nwaozor, who is better known as MC Loph died Wednesday in a car crash along the notorious Benin-Ore expressway.

It gathered that the musician died in the crash involving his personal car in his way his hometown in Anambra State for his traditional wedding when the accident that claimed his life occurred. His wife-to-be too was said to have been in the vehicle with him.

MC Loph, the only son in a family of four became an instant celebrity when he did a remix of Osita Osadebe’s Osondi Owendi, an award winning song that enjoys airplay till date. Though his songs tilted towards Highlife, he classified them as Afro-Hip Hop as they contained elements of rap.

The late music act who is also among the elite musicians in the country with university degrees, had also found fame in music collaborations especially with another Afro hip hop artiste, Flavour.

He graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) with a degree in Sociology and Anthropology.
